【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoversbarecombinationunilay-strandedconductorsmadefromroundcopperwires,eitheruncoatedorcoatedwithtinorleadalloyforinsulatedconductorsforelectricalpurposes.Theseconductorsshallbeconstructedwithacentralcorewiresurroundedbytwolayersofhelicallylaidwires,resultinginanouterdiameterequaltothecompressed-strandedequivalentconductor.(SeeExplanatoryNote1andNote2).Note18212;Forthepurposeofthisspecification,combinationunilayconductorisdefinedasfollows:acentralcorewiresurroundedbyalayerofsixhelicallylaidwiresofthesamediameterasthecorewirewithahelicallylaidouterlayercontainingsixsmallerwiresalternatedbetweensixwiresofthesamediameterasthewiresinthelayerunderneath.Bothlayershaveacommonlengthanddirectionoflay(seeFig.1).1.2Forthepurposeofthisspecification,normalconductorclassification(ClassAA,A,B,C)isnotapplicableastheseconductorsareintendedforsubsequentinsulation.Thedescriptivetermcombinationunilay-strandedshallbeusedinplaceofconductorclassification.1.3ThevaluesstatedineitherSIunitsorinch-poundunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemmaynotbeexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemshallbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnon-conformancewiththestandard.1.3.1ForconductorsizesdesignatedbyAWGorkcmil,therequirementsinSIunitshavebeennumericallyconvertedfromcorrespondingvalues,statedorderived,ininch-poundunits.1.3.2ForconductorsizesdesignatedbySIunitsonly,therequirementsarestatedorderivedinSIunits.1.3.3Fordensity,resistivity,andtemperature,thevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
