【摘要】:ThesepracticesmaybeusedtodeterminewhetheraROorNFdeviceisfreeofleaksifthemechanicalintegrityofthedeviceistobeconfirmed.TheymayalsobeusedtodetectleaksinROorNFdeviceswhoseoperatingperformanceindicatesapossibleleak.Thesepracticesmaybeusedforeitherneworuseddevices.1.1Thesepracticescoverdetectingleaksinwhichthereisadirectcommunicationbetweenthefeedorconcentrate,orboth,andthepermeate.Severaltypesofleaksarepossiblewiththevariousconfigurationsofreverse-osmosis(RO)andnanofiltration(NF)devices.1.2TypesofLeaks:1.2.1Withhollow-fiberdevices,feedorconcentrateleakage,orboth,intothepermeatestreambyleaksthroughthetubesheetandpastthetubesheetO-ringarepossible.x201C;Leaksx201D;causedbybrokenfibersarenotcoveredbythesepractices.1.2.2Withspiral-wounddevices,leaksmayoccurthroughdamageofthemembranesurfaceitselfbypuncturesorscratches,byglue-linefailure,andbyO-ringleaksonproducttubeinterconnectors.1.2.3Withtubulardevices,leaksduetomembranedamage,tubeendsealleaks,andleaksfrombrokentubesorproductheadersarepossible.1.3Threeleaktestpracticesaregivenasfollows:
